JACKSONVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — CrimeStoppers will pay a $1,000 reward to the tipster whose information helped investigators solve the Patrick Slade Boothe case.
Jacksonville Police Lt. Matthew Johnston sent a letter to CrimeStoppers stating that the case began on January 28, 2026, when police received a report that Boothe was missing.
Investigators later developed evidence suggesting foul play and tracked suspicious transactions tied to Boothe’s banking information. After additional surveillance and interviews, the investigation stalled until a tipster provided detailed information about the events surrounding Boothe’s disappearance and homicide.
Officials say that the information assisted investigators in questioning suspects during follow-up interviews, leading both suspects to confess and be charged with murder.
Lt. Johnston said the tipster’s information helped bring the case forward and may have led to the discovery of Boothe’s remains.
