Miami Township police officers help man escape from burning car

Miami Township police officers stepped in to help an older man who was inside a burning car on Sunday afternoon.The Miami Township Police Department shared video of the incident on social media Monday, praising officers for their work.In the video, the man is seen sitting on the driver’s side of the car, with smoke pouring out from underneath the car’s hood.The officer uses a tool to break the window and help the man, who was uninjured, get out of the car and to safety.The same officer then grabbed a fire extinguisher from the trunk of the police cruiser and worked to put out the fire as firefighters arrived.See the video in the media player at the top of the story.
