MESQUITE, Texas (KLTV) – Former Jacksonville Indian Jayden Boyd reached base three times and drove in two runs in Eastfield’s 13-1 win over Brookhaven on Saturday.
The sophomore is hitting .285 this season with 38 RBI and 40 runs.
Boyd started at first base and batted sixth. He went 1-for-2 with two walks, two RBI and one run. For Brookhaven, Brownsboro’s Payton Stephenson started in left field and batted second. He went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.
Eastfield and Brookhaven begin the NJCAA Division III South Central District Tournament on Thursday in Mesquite.
