Large law enforcement presence at mobile home park in Orange County
FLORIDA, AND HOW MUCH IT’S GOING TO HELP THE DROUGHT COMING UP AT 1018. SEE YOU THEN. NOW TO BREAKING NEWS OUT OF ORANGE COUNTY. THERE WAS A LARGE LAW ENFORCEMENT PRESENCE AT A MOBILE HOME PARK. ALL OF THIS WAS UNFOLDING ON SOUTH GOLDENROD AT THE TAMARACK EAST MOBILE HOME PARK. WESH TWO HAYLEY CROMBLEHOLME IS LIVE THERE THIS EVENING. HAYLEY. AT ONE POINT, THE ENTRANCE OF THAT PROPERTY WAS BLOCKED OFF BY A BUNCH OF SHERIFF’S OFFICE CRUISERS. THAT’S RIGHT. SO THAT MOBILE HOME PARK IS JUST ACROSS THE ROAD FROM ME HERE. AND THOSE ARE GONE NOW AT ONE POINT, PRETTY MUCH QUARTER TO QUARTER OUTSIDE OF THE PARK WAS COMPLETELY SURROUNDED BY DEPUTIES. NOW, EVEN THOUGH THEY’RE GONE AT THIS POINT, THE ORANGE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE REALLY ISN’T GIVING US SPECIFICS ABOUT WHAT BROUGHT THEM OUT HERE IN THE FIRST PLACE. NOW, IF YOU TAKE A LOOK AT SOME OF THIS VIDEO WE SHOT EARLIER, YOU CAN SEE THAT THIS PLACE WAS JUST COMPLETELY SURROUNDED. NOW, SOME OF THE ENTRANCES ARE BLOCKED AND YOU CAN SEE DEPUTIES FURTHER INTO THE COMPLEX AS WELL. WE SPOKE WITH ONE MAN WHO CAME HOME FROM THE AIRPORT TO SEE HIS COMMUNITY SURROUNDED BY ENFORCEMENT. CAME IN TO DRIVE IN. DEPUTIES HERE ON ALL ENTRANCES. THERE WAS LIKE THREE PULLED UP TO MY HOUSE. A LOT OF SHERIFFS AND DEPUTIES, A BIG HOUND DOG. SO I DON’T KNOW WHAT’S GOING ON, BUT IT’S A LOT OF COPS EVERYWHERE. NOW, THE ONLY INFORMATION THE SHERIFF’S OFFICE WOULD SHARE IS THAT THEIR DEPUTIES WERE ON SCENE AS PART OF AN ONGOING INVESTIGATION, BUT THEY GAVE NO DETAILS ABOUT WHAT KIND OF INVESTIGATION THAT WAS, IF ANYONE WAS HURT, IF THEY WERE SEARCHING FOR SOMEONE, WHAT HAVE YOU. NOW, THE MAN WE SPOKE WITH SAID HE’D LIKE TO HAVE MORE INFORMATION ABOUT WHAT’S GOING ON IN HIS OWN NEIGHBORHOOD. OF COURSE, I FEEL LIKE EVERYBODY WANTS TO BE INFORMED, ESPECIALLY IN THE COMMUNITY, WHAT’S GOING ON AROUND, YOU KNOW, LOOKING BEHIND THE HOUSES. YOU CAN EVEN SEE DEPUTIES AND COPS ON THE OTHER SIDE. AND VENTURA, WHERE THE GOLF COURSES ARE. SO IT LOOKS LIKE SOMETHING SERIOUS. SO IT WOULD BE NICE IF IT WOULD BE A LITTLE MORE INFORMED. Deputies from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office surrounded the Tamarac East Mobile Home Park near Curry Ford Road and S Goldenrod Road Monday night. The sheriff’s office said deputies were on scene as part of an ongoing investigation, but didn’t give any details about what that investigation was related to. “Pulled up to my house a lot of sheriffs and deputies. A big hound dog,” said Jeremy Besosa Cruz, who lives in the community. “I don’t know what’s going on, but it’s a lot of cops everywhere.”He said he saw deputies in the surrounding area outside of the mobile home park as well. “Looking behind the houses, you could even see deputies and cops on the other side in Ventura, where the golf courses are,” he said. “So it looks like something serious, so it would be nice if we would be a little informed.”WESH 2 has reached out for more information.>> This is a developing story.
