Emergency crews worked to control the hemorrhage and stabilize the 63-year-old man before he was air-lifted to a trauma center.

OLDSMAR, Fla. — A man was air-lifted to a trauma center after a chainsaw accident Tuesday morning in Oldsmar.

Emergency crews responded just after 9 a.m. to the East Lake Woodlands community.

They arrived to find a 63-year-old man with a life-threatening laceration, according to the East Lake Tarpon Special Fire Control District.

Crews worked to control the hemorrhage and stabilize the man while coordinating life-support treatment. They worked with Sunstar Paramedics and the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office to air transport the man to a trauma center.

The man’s current condition is unknown.
