Summer reading isn’t just for bored kids looking to fill some time before school starts again in the fall.

Jacksonville Public Library’s Adult Summer Reading Program will run through June and July, offering prizes to grown-ups in exchange for books read, according to the library.

Participants can stop by the library at 201 W. College Ave. any time after May 30 to pick up a reading log.

Adults who read at least five books, log them and return the reading log by July 31 will receive a small prize for participating. They also will be entered in a grand prize drawing on Aug. 2.
