JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – News4JAX anchor Bruce Hamilton continues documenting his cancer journey, hoping to answer questions those of you battling cancer might have, and your loved ones as well.
The cancer fight took an unexpected turn when he couldn’t get the test he needed to pinpoint the source of the cancer and to track its spread. The insurance company blocked pre-approval for the procedure. It’s a problem all too common when these insurance companies think they know better than the doctor and deem important tests “not a medical necessity.”
