JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – A teacher at a Jacksonville middle school is facing charges for multiple sex crimes.
Jacksonville police say they arrested Manley Moore, of Richlands, this morning.
He is charged with four counts of indecent liberties with a child. Police say the man is accused of sharing inappropriate text messages with children.
The 36-year-old Moore is a teacher at Northwoods Park Middle School in Jacksonville. Onslow County Schools says Moore, who has worked for them since 2018, was suspended on October 2nd.
WITN has asked the school system and Jacksonville police if any of the victims attend Northwoods Park, or if the crimes actually happened at the school. So far, we have not received any additional information on the man’s arrest from police or the school system.
Moore was jailed on an $80,000 bond.
