TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – The Florida State women’s golf team qualified for the 2026 NCAA Women’s Golf Championship after finishing in second place at the NCAA Tallahassee Regional on Wednesday at Seminole Legacy. It will be the 10th straight appearance at the NCAA Finals.
After holding steady in the top two throughout the tournament, the Seminoles finished the day even par, finishing as the runner-up to No. 9 Wake Forest.
FSU was led by Sophia Fullbrook, who finished tied for the win, marking her third of the season. Fullbrook started the day in third place but quickly jumped to the lead after carding three birdies on the front nine. She finished with five total, scoring 4-under, 68 for the round and finishing at 7-under, 209.
Alexandra Gazzoli followed, finishing tied for seventh place after carding 1-over, 73 on Tuesday. She scored 3-under, 213.
Layla Pedrique was also 1-over, 73 for the day, while Haruhi Nakatani was 2-over, 74. Nakatani finished tied for 16th place at 2-over, 218, while Pedrique was 5-over, 221 and tied for 26th.
The Seminoles will begin match play at the NCAA Championship on May 22 at the Omni La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, California.
