HE APPEARED IN COURT TODAY WHERE THE JUDGE ORDERED HE HELD WITHOUT BOND. NOW, DETECTIVES SAY THEY HAD ALREADY NAMED HIM A SUSPECT INITIALLY, BUT AT THAT POINT, HE HAD ALREADY FLED TO EL SALVADOR. JIMENEZ APPEARED IN COURT THIS MORNING ON A FIRST DEGREE MURDER CHARGE AFTER ARRIVING AT THE PALM BEACH COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE LATE WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON. THE BODY OF HIS WIFE, YULIA CASTILLO, WAS FOUND IN A PARKED CAR AT THE LAKE WORTH TRI-RAIL STATION IN 2023. DESPITE NAMING HIM A SUSPECT, DETECTIVES SAY JIMENEZ HAD ALREADY GOTTEN ON A FLIGHT OUT OF MIAMI HEADED TO EL SALVADOR. INTERNATIONAL POLICE ARRESTED HIM IN APRIL OF 2024, AND MORE THAN TWO YEARS LATER, HE WAS FINALLY EXTRADITED HERE. BACK TO SOUTH FLORIDA. NOW, LIKE I SAID, THE JUDGE ORDERED HE BE HELD WITHOUT BOND. Man extradited from El Salvador faces Palm Beach County judge in wife’s 2023 murder case

A man extradited from El Salvador appeared in court Thursday morning on a first-degree murder charge, accused of killing his wife at the Lake Worth Tri-Rail station in Palm Beach County in 2023. Detectives said the suspect, identified as Jimenez, was immediately named in the case after the body of his wife, Eullaia Castellon, was found in a parked car at the station in October 2023. “Detectives say they immediately identified him as a suspect, but he had already left to El Salvador,” the reporter said. Despite naming him a suspect, detectives said Jimenez had already boarded a flight out of Miami to El Salvador. International police arrested Jimenez in April 2024, and after more than two years, he was extradited to South Florida, arriving at the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office late Wednesday afternoon. PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. —
A man extradited from El Salvador appeared in court Thursday morning on a first-degree murder charge, accused of killing his wife at the Lake Worth Tri-Rail station in Palm Beach County in 2023.
Detectives said the suspect, identified as Jimenez, was immediately named in the case after the body of his wife, Eullaia Castellon, was found in a parked car at the station in October 2023.
“Detectives say they immediately identified him as a suspect, but he had already left to El Salvador,” the reporter said.
Despite naming him a suspect, detectives said Jimenez had already boarded a flight out of Miami to El Salvador.
