TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Eleven weeks of the high school football season have flown by, and every week, you have voted on that week’s play of the week. Week eleven saw plays from Cairo, Brookwood, and Lafayette.
It was Brookwood’s Tyson Cochran, who claimed top honors this week. Cochran scored the first touchdown of the game, and it was a long one, 60 yards untouched.
For Cochran, he said getting that first score was a big deal, and he knew he was going to take it to the house pretty early on.
“It was an inside run at first. The hole closed, so I bounced outside, and I saw green grass,” he said. “I just thank them for blocking and being there for me. Thank you for voting for me. They love the players.”
Cochran advanced to our Play of the Year voting with the win, with tomorrow closing out the regular season, that means one more play will join the eleven others as we now decide a Play of the Year.
