Fresh Squeezed 10 at the Morean Arts Center (719 Central Ave) is on display now, highlighting fresh work from emerging artists across Florida. The annual exhibition is now in its tenth year, bringing together a mix of new perspectives and creative approaches.

The show runs through June 25 and features eight artists, each with their own dedicated space inside the Morean galleries. It feels less like a typical group show and more like a series of mini solo exhibitions, with eight different worlds to step into.

Fresh art in all forms

One of the installations—the Tomato Hut, by St. Pete local Kimberly Vorperian—is actually something you can step inside. It’s this type of playful blend of fine art and folk tradition that makes Fresh Squeezed 10 such a standout. The show features everything from painting and sculpture to digital work and immersive installations, often tied together by big, relatable themes like home, identity, family, and our sometimes-complicated relationship with nature. 

The 2026 lineup includes artists from all over the state, from Tallahassee to West Palm Beach, with a few familiar St. Pete names in the mix.

Meet the artists

Artists Alberto Alonso and Ysabel Flores contribute nostalgia and cultural identity to the exhibit, exploring what the idea of “home” really means. Others, like Angelina Palmisano, lean into more lighthearted moments, capturing friendships, humor, and everyday life in a way that feels both whimsical and personal.

Wildlife also makes a strong appearance this year, with detailed bird studies, stylized plants and flowers, and even sculptural animal forms by Clancy Reihm, Gwen Mehler, and Jamie Rodriguez, respectively. Gillian Probert, who is also a St. Pete local, uses animal images in her intricately carved glass sculptures.

And Kimberly Vorperian’s site-specific installation features not only the Tomato Hut, but other pieces that lean into traditional crafting techniques. 

It’s this range that makes the show so easy to enjoy – it doesn’t take long to find something you can connect with.
