TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Our Furry Friday dogs this week are ready and waiting to spend the summer – and forever – with you!
WCTV and the Tallahassee Animal Service Center team up each week to spotlight four adoptable dogs in hopes of helping them find their fur-ever homes faster!
Here are the dogs we are featuring this week:
MEET MARLIN

Meet Marlin!
He’s a man after your heart.
Marlin is a boxer mix and his big sad eyes are simply irresistible!
Marlin enjoys a brisk walk and all the sights and sounds that come with it, but what he’s really after is this: Being close. Hugs, pets and back scratches please.
And Marlin is a man of steel. He can sit and wait an exceptionally long time for a treat.

MEET MAPLE
Maple loves shaking hands and holding hands and can do it endlessly when there are treats on the line!(WCTV)
Meet Maple!
This sweet girl is excited to explore the world around her and to show off her softer side!
Maple enjoys bird watching and nature trails.
She is focused and earnest.
Maple loves shaking hands … and holding hands … and can sit patiently for a very long time when there are treats on the line.
Maple is ready to jump right in to a family that showers her with the love and affection she deserves and dreams of …

MEET KRISTI
Kristi loves to walk side by side and take frequent back scratch breaks!(WCTV)
Meet Kristi!
This sweet girl … is a gentle woman.
She’s had her share of puppies and is now looking for a loving family of her own.
Kristi is into hugs, leaning in for scratches and will walk dutifully and happily right by your side.
Kristi was found stray on the street, but she is housebroken and clearly adores her people.
You can get hugs and kisses from Kristi when you visit her at the shelter this weekend!
MEET BADGER
Badger is full of puppy energy, puppy mischief … and puppy love!(WCTV)
Meet Badger!
He’s full of puppy energy, puppy mischief … and puppy love!
Badger will happily press pause on all of it for a belly rub and if you have fingernails to scratch him with – that’s a bonus.
Just 4 months old, he was a stray and appears to be a Jack Russell Terrier mix.
Badger is unbridled cuteness.
This bouncy silly boy is ready to find a fur-ever family to grow up with, to play with and to nap with because apparently being adorable is also exhausting.
You can meet Badger at the shelter this weekend!
MEET AND GREET
You can meet these dogs and dozens more awaiting adoption at the Tallahassee Animal Service Center. It’s located across from Tom Brown Park at 1125 Easterwood Drive in Tallahassee.
You can walk through the kennels Tuesday through Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and can also visit by appointment the rest of the week from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.
*note: the shelter is closed Wednesday, May 20 in observance of Emancipation Day.

We are thrilled to share that three of the dogs recently featured on Furry Friday were just adopted and another was reunited with her owner!
Congratulations to Oreo, Cherry and Mazi and our thanks to their new families! And we wish Bonnie the best as she was just reunited with her owner!
