CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (WINK) — The Charlotte County Fire & EMS responded to a scene where a student was medically transported via Aeromed flight from Babcock Neighborhood School.
At 11:45 a.m. on Friday, first responders were dispatched to the school, where an Aeromed was requested to transport the injured child as a trauma alert.
It remains unclear the severity of the injuries or what led to the trauma alert being issued.
WINK News contacted Charlotte County Fire & EMS, which confirmed that first responders were dispatched to the school and that an Aeromed flight was called for the injured student.
The scene remains under investigation.
