The Cove is a family-friendly water park in Tampa Bay with lots to do. All ages can enjoy wakeboarding, water skiing, and attempting their inflatable Ninja Warrior course. Located just outside of Tampa in Seffner, visiting The Cove is definitely worth the drive. Visit the park at 2020 McCormick Lks Wy, Seffner.
Whether you’re looking for something fun for your kids or if you’re an adult that needs to blow off some steam, The Cove is the perfect place to soak up what’s left of this summer sun. It’s one of the top things to do in Tampa Bay, and may be an under-the-radar experience in Florida.
What you can do at The Cove
Otter Island Water Park
The water park’s main attraction for families has to be Otter Island, an inflatable Ninja-Warrior-style course. Featuring slides, monkey bars, high-rise balance beams, and more, this course is not for the faint of heart! No worries, though, it’s totally safe for kids and adults of all ages. Life jackets are mandatory, and fall damage is virtually non-existent.

Wakeboarding
Thrill seekers can book time for wakeboarding at the cable park. If you’ve never wakeboarded before, this is a great place to learn or to practice your wakeboarding skills. More advanced wakeboarders can enjoy water features such as boxes, rails, and jumps. Don’t have wakeboarding gear? That’s okay, The Cove has everything you’ll need, including helmets, life jackets, and wakeboards.
Water skiing coming soon
The water park is excited to announce its plans to offer water skiing in the near future. Get pulled behind a speed boat and carve up the lake like a pro! Additionally, The Cove intends to reopen its RV campgrounds, so families and visitors can stay as long as they’d like.
Growing the sport of wakeboarding
The Cove is easily one of the best parks in and around the Tampa area. So, enjoy the heat, have a few drinks, eat some delicious pizza, and make memories that’ll last forever. The Cove is excited to have you!
“We’re honestly mostly excited to be growing the sports of Waterskiing and Wakeboarding. National Teams from all over Europe will start trickling in towards the end of fall to train throughout the Winter and into early Spring, at the once legendary McCormick Ski School, now directed by renowned coach and former world champion skier Franz Oberleitner. Additionally, we plan on bringing back the McCormick International Cup, along with other contests for both Ski and Wake. We’re also planning to reopen our RV park in the next few weeks.
We’ve also added Yeti’s Pizza & Snowballs on [the] property — Dave Portnoy gave their pizza a 7.8 a couple years ago when they were based in Miami! And, of course, we’re going to continue to build out new experiences here… (hint: EMX track coming soon)”
