MIAMI, Fla. (WFLA) — A grandmother is asking for help in finding her 18-year-old grandson with autism who went missing in Miami last weekend.

The Miami Beach Police reporters that Jonathan Andrew Torres was last seen on Saturday in the area of the Costa Norte Boutique Hotel, located at 7130 Harding Avenue in Miami Beach.

According to NBC affiliate WTVJ, the teen’s grandmother, Michelle Lowe-Christensen, left work in Texas last Wednesday but did not return home at his usual time.

Family members said that he stopped answering their calls and texts at this time.

Later, family members discovered Torres had gone to the airport and boarded a flight to Miami.

Torres arrived in South Florida early Thursday morning, but all contact stopped Saturday and his bank accounts have been inactive since, his grandmother told WTVJ.

His phone last pinged in downtown Miami on Saturday.

Torres is 5 foot 6 inches weighing between 130 and 140 pounds. He has brown eyes and brown hair.
