Marcus Delay, a 30-year-old man who recently moved from Oklahoma to Florida, was shot by deputies after holding a woman and her baby hostage in Jacksonville.

IN FACT, HE AND HIS FAMILY HAD JUST MOVED TO FLORIDA FROM OKLAHOMA. HIS LAST NAME IS DELAY. AND WE’VE LEARNED THAT HE RAN A BUSINESS HERE IN THE OKC METRO AREA. SHERIFF’S DEPUTIES IN THE JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA AREA RESPONDED TO THIS HOUSE IN THE EAST ARLINGTON AREA THURSDAY NIGHT. A SUBURB OF JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA, WHERE THEY ENDED UP SHOOTING A 30 YEAR OLD SUSPECT, MARCUS DELAY. HE’S IN THE HOSPITAL FOR HIS INJURIES. WE’RE TOLD DELAY HELD A WOMAN HOSTAGE FOR SEVERAL HOURS WHO HE WAS IN A RELATIONSHIP WITH, AND SHE ALSO HAD A NINE MONTH OLD BABY WITH HER. WE’RE TOLD DELAY FIRED A RIFLE INTO THE AIR WHILE SEARCHING FOR HIS PARTNER, WHO HAD ESCAPED THE HOME AND RAN INTO THE WOODS WITH HER BABY, THE JACKSONVILLE SHERIFF’S OFFICE SAID. DELAY LATER FOUND THE WOMAN AND OFFICERS IN THE WOODED AREA AND POINTED A HANDGUN AT THEM. DELAY RECENTLY MOVED TO FLORIDA FROM OKLAHOMA, AND HE RAN A PEST CONTROL BUSINESS HERE IN THE METRO AREA, ACCORDING TO SOCIAL MEDIA.
