Lockdown lifted at Mayo Clinic after reported ‘threat’, JSO to remain on scene

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — UPDATE 4:40 P.M.

Mayo Clinic has issued the following statement:

“The campus lockdown has been lifted following an assessment by law enforcement. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office will continue patrolling the property out of an abundance of caution.”

A spokesperson for the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said officers responded to a reported “threat” at Mayo Clinic hospital off San Pablo Road South Saturday afternoon.

The spokesperson did not have any further information to provide immediately.
