Work progresses on the foundation of a future event space at Universal Epic Universe. Land clearing began in the area off Celestial Park last year. Universal then filed permits for the new building.

New aerial photos of the under-construction events center at Epic Universe show additional concrete work since our last update.

Aerial photographer bioreconstruct shared this updated angle on the developing area on Friday, May 15. The largest concrete pad, visible in the bottom center of the image, has been filled in since our last update when we spotted a moisture barrier affixed to the same area.

The project is known in filings as Project P915 and is listed as a 53,886-square-foot, two-level event space, with about 29,749 square feet enclosed. Permit details put the project value at more than $20 million.

Reported occupancy is expected to be roughly 1,200 to 1,400 guests, making it large enough for private receptions, corporate events, media functions, catered parties, and other group-use events tied to Epic Universe.

Its location is especially notable. The site sits in Celestial Park, the park’s central hub area, between Other Worlds Mercantile and Super Nintendo World, near a backstage bus loop and across from the area of Moonship Chocolates & Celestial Sweets.

That placement suggests the structure will be a guest-facing or semi-guest-facing venue integrated into Celestial Park’s design language. As such, we expect the building to match the broader Celestial Park aesthetic.

There is no confirmed opening date from Universal yet, but based on the known scope of the project, we expect construction efforts to stretch toward the end of the year, if not into 2027.

The new venue seems designed to support Epic Universe’s corporate event business, which may include corporate buyouts, convention-adjacent events, private parties, media previews, and possibly premium guest functions.

Many Orlando entertainment venues, including Universal and Disney Parks, have a long history of offering private corporate events, so it should come as no surprise to see Epic Universe receive its own auxiliary space to support similar opportunities.

It is one of the first significant post-opening additions to the park and shows Universal is already building out operational infrastructure beyond rides and more heavily-themed areas.
