Florida Highway Patrol responds to fatal ATV crash in Okeechobee County
GO TO OUR WEBSITE, PBSO.COM. TONIGHT, PEOPLE IN TRADITION ARE VOICING THEIR FRUSTRATIONS AFTER THEY RECEIVED A NOTICE FROM THE TRADITION COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION BANNING FIREARMS AND OTHER WEAPONS, BOTH CARRIED OPENLY OR CONCEALED. CALEB CALIFANO HAS MORE. WELL, I THINK THEY SHOULD. I MEAN, AFTER ALL, PEOPLE HAVE TO PROTECT THEMSELVES. PEOPLE HERE IN TRADITION NOT HAPPY. RESIDENTS WE TALKED TO SAY THEY’RE DISAPPOINTED BY THE DECISION AND WISH THE COMMUNITY HERE HAD A SAY. I CAN’T BELIEVE THAT THERE’S NEVER EVEN A DISCUSSION ABOUT THIS. I NEVER HEARD ANYTHING UNTIL I GOT SOMETHING IN THE MAIL. IN THE RESOLUTION OBTAINED BY WPBF 25 NEWS, THE ASSOCIATION SAYS THEY CAN MAKE THE CHANGES, THE RULES AND REGULATIONS AND ENFORCE COVENANTS AND RESTRICTIONS TO ANY PROPERTY THEY HAVE AUTHORIZATION FOR THROUGH THE CHARTER OR BYLAWS. NOW, WE SPOKE TO AN HOA ATTORNEY WHO SAYS BIG CHANGES LIKE THIS CAN CAUSE A LOT OF EMOTIONS, BUT HE ALSO HAS SOME CONCERNS. I BELIEVE THAT THE HOMEOWNERS HAVE THE RIGHT TO DECIDE WHETHER THEY WANT CHANGES TO THE RULES IN THE COMMUNITY, AND GIVING THE BOARD, CLEARLY, IN THIS CASE, BELIEVES THEY HAVE THE POWER TO MAKE THESE SUBSTANTIAL CHANGES TO THE MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY. WE’VE REACHED OUT TO THE TRADITION COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION FO
