TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A day after the Florida State softball team looked lost against Stetson to kick off the Tallahassee Regional, the Seminoles thrived in the losers bracket. Florida State first beat Jacksonville State 11-0 on Saturday and then got its revenge on Stetson with a 11-3 victory.
The offense was the driving force for the Seminoles in both games. Jaysoni Beachum hit one home run in each game and collected eight RBI. In game two, Ashytn Danley crushed three home runs, which tied the program record.
The Seminoles advance to the region championship where they will face UCF on Sunday. Florida State must win both games to advance to Super Regionals.
Game one is set for 12 p.m.
