Each week during the regular season, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ communications department publishes a “Game Release” to aid the media in coverage of their upcoming game. Within that release are a number of documents regarding the player roster, including a depth chart, which lists the pecking order at every position on offense, defense and special teams.
Each game week, we will be taking a closer look at that depth chart, pointing out any changes or relevant notes from the previous game and which players saw notable action in that game. Let’s start on offense. Rookies are marked with an asterisk. Players we will be discussing in depth are highlighted in bold text.

WR: Emeka Egbuka, Tez Johnson**

Luke Haggard started his fourth consecutive game at right guard but suffered a shoulder injury in the second half and was sidelined for the Bucs’ last 12 offensive plays. Second-year man Elijah Klein came in to replace him, seeing action on offense for the second time this season. He had previously played all 72 snaps at left guard against the Jets in Week Three.
Rookie wide receiver Emeka Egbuka, who leads the team in every receiving category, saw his lowest snap share of the season so far, and for an unfortunate reason. A hamstring strain kept him out of the game in the second half and limited him to 28 snaps and two catches for 24 yards. The primary beneficiary, in terms of playing time, was second-year receiver Kameron Johnson, who played 26 offensive snaps after logging a total of just 22 across the Bucs’ first five games. He ended up with a team-high 64 receiving yards on four catches, the first four of his career, and scored on a 34-yard reception in the second quarter. Rookie Tez Johnson also recorded his highest snap count of the season, with 38, and scored his first NFL touchdown on a 45-yard grab in the third quarter.
After the departure of Egbuka, the Bucs relied on more two-tight end sets in the second half and Payne Durham saw a season-high 24 snaps on offense. He was not targeted in the passing game, but fellow tight end Cade Otton, who played every single offensive snap, led the team with five catches, producing 51 yards.
