LEE COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — Three teenagers are facing multiple felony charges after a late-night joyride through a Florida community allegedly turned into a crime spree involving stolen golf carts.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office said that on May 6, authorities received reports of suspicious activity, including individuals stealing golf carts and damaging property in the Hideaway community and at the local golf course clubhouse.
Officials said that surveillance footage showed the suspects racing through the area in a blue Dodge Hornet and a red Honda Civic.
The suspects were revealed to be Gabriel Melendez, Pedro Luis Lopez Rojas Jr., and Angel Josue Guadarrrama.

Investigators said they connected these teens to similar golf cart thefts in Cape Coral, collaborating with the Cape Coral Police Department, school administrators, and community members.
Evidence was recovered, and two suspects allegedly provided confessions, leading to the arrest of all three.
The teens now face multiple felony charges, including grand theft, burglary, and criminal mischief.
