PALESTINE, Texas (KLTV) – Palestine police have arrested three teenagers after a vehicle and foot chase ensued through the city Sunday.
The investigation began when officers patrolling near East Spring and North Sycamore streets spotted a vehicle matching the description of one stolen from Jacksonville.
They attempted to stop the vehicle before it sped off and tried to turn north onto North Church Street, disabling the vehicle, according to a Palestine Police Department release.
The three male teenagers, all 16 years old and of Jacksonville, then ran away before officers found and arrested two of them, the release states.
Officers arrested the third teen Monday.
Items stolen from a nearby gun shop and a gun stolen from Houston were found in the vehicle, the release states.
The three teens are facing charges including:
Engaging in organized criminal activityBurglary of a buildingEvading arrest/detention with vehicleEvading arrest/detentionTheft of firearmUnauthorized use of a motor vehicle
Their identities will not be released.
