FORT MYERS, Fla. (WFLA) — Deputies arrested a Florida man on Saturday after he rammed his truck into another vehicle and a modular home in Fort Myers five times before fleeing, according to authorities.
Witnesses reported that Joseph Absalon, 35, got into his truck and backed onto a property on Timothy Lane in Fort Myers.

Absalon then struck a vehicle and modular home on the property five times, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office said.
He continued driving down the street and stopped in front of a residence, where LCSO said he is subject to an active domestic violence injunction.
Body camera video shows deputies yelling commands for Absalon to exit his truck, but he fled through the neighborhood.
LCSO said he drove “recklessly, striking a street sign and nearly colliding with a marked patrol vehicle while ignoring emergency lights and sirens.”

Deputies brought the chase to an end using a precision mobilization technique maneuver, according to LCSO.
Absalon was transported to the Lee County Jail and charged with aggravated assault with intent to commit a felony, two counts of criminal mischief, fleeing and eluding law enforcement, hit and run with property damage and three counts of violation of a domestic violence injunction.
