After weeks of rising prices, Miami drivers finally saw some relief at the pump, with the average price of regular gasoline dropping 19 cents per gallon over the past week.
The average price in Miami-Dade County is now $4.25 per gallon. Even with the decline, it remains the highest local average since 2022, when regular gasoline reached $4.54 per gallon.
According to GasBuddy’s survey of 1,690 stations in Miami, drivers are paying 16.6 cents more per gallon than a month ago and $1.25 more than a year ago.
On Key Biscayne, after holding at $4.79 per gallon for several weeks, prices at both Island gas stations climbed to $5.49 per gallon. While significantly above the county average, it is still not the highest price in the Miami metropolitan area. GasBuddy reported the area’s highest price at $6.39 per gallon last week, while the lowest was $3.77.
Nationally, the average price of gasoline fell 1 cent per gallon over the last week, averaging $4.47 per gallon to start the week.
