FORT PIERCE, Fla. (CBS12) — Heavy smoke poured from a Fort Pierce home Monday afternoon as firefighters battled a blaze on N. 20th Street, officials said.
Crews with the St. Lucie County Fire District responded around 2 p.m. to the 400 block of N. 20th Street following reports of a house fire.
When crews arrived, smoke was pouring from the structure as firefighters conducted a fire attack and searched the residence.

No injuries were reported, and the American Red Cross assisted the displaced residents.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, according to SLCFD.
