Update: The Blue Angels will not be participating in the air show due to the government shutdown.

In a statement to WINK News from the Florida International Board of Directors, “Due to the government shutdown, the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, F-16 Viper Demo Team, and Heritage Flight Team are unable to participate in this year’s show. While that’s out of our hands, we’ve added some incredible new performers who are guaranteed to keep the skies just as thrilling!”

The Florida International Air Show will return to the Punta Gorda Airport on Saturday and Sunday after a year off due to hurricanes. The U.S. Navy Blue Angels and the F-16 Viper Demo Team will headline the event.
