• A 17-year-old girl was cited on a charge of failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident after her car and one being driven by a 38-year-old Springfield woman collided at 4:34 p.m. Monday in the 1200 block of West Morton Avenue. The impact of the crash caused the Springfield woman’s car and one being driven by a 16-year-old girl to collide, according to a police report. A passenger in one of the vehicles was treated at the scene.

• Police were called at 2:35 a.m. Tuesday to the 100 block of Walnut Court for a report that a mattress and refrigerator were stolen. Officers determined it was a civil matter, according to a police report.

• Police were called at 6:48 p.m. Monday to a restaurant in the 2000 block of West Morton Avenue for a report of a customer refusing to pay for her food because she said there was a hair in it. An officer documented the incident, according to a police report.
