TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Ahead of Memorial Day, the Amvets of Leon sponsored a rededication of a memorial plaque at Woodville School.
The new plaque was unveiled Tuesday at a ceremony to honor seven former students who served in the military and died during service.

The memorial is now restored and the plaque will be hung in the school’s front office.
The original plaque was dedicated on this day in 1971, but was destroyed in 1980 in a fire at the school.
