100 full-time employees are expected to be impacted, according to the WARN notice.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A commercial printing plant in Jacksonville is closing its doors, and dozens of employees will be losing their jobs.

Mittera, an Iowa-based company, submitted a WARN (Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification) notice to the City of Jacksonville and state officials on Monday, May 18, alerting it to the impending layoffs at 10301 Busch Drive North, in the Imeson Park area.

A Mittera official said the closure is due to the loss of the company’s primary customer.

The layoffs are expected to happen in 2026, sometime after July 16, and impact 100 full-time employees. Everyone will be paid wages and benefits through their last day of employment.

“Mittera is attempting to find other positions for the affected employees within the organization,” the company wrote in the notice.

WARN notices are required by law as a way to protect workers and communities. Under the WARN Act, certain employers must provide a 60-day notice ahead of plant closings and mass layoffs.
