Mena Fayez is an internationally recognized Egyptian director and media producer who has worked with some of the world’s biggest sports clubs and global brands. Throughout his career, he has directed international campaigns, supervised major productions, and organized global events across several countries.
Fayez holds a Master’s degree in Global Cinematic Arts from Full Sail University in Orlando. He has received multiple awards and honors from international companies and sports organizations, and he also founded artistic production companies in both Spain and France.
Today, Fayez divides his time between Cairo and Tampa, where he is currently developing a series of short films focused on successful Egyptian figures and their positive impact on life in America.
Speaking about his vision, Fayez says his goal is to create realistic films that carry meaningful humanitarian messages and genuinely serve society.
“I want cinema to reflect humanity, truth, and hope,” he explains. “I reject the false stereotypes that sometimes portray Egypt only through violence or crime. Egypt is full of success stories, culture, talent, and people who inspire others around the world.”
Reflecting on today’s entertainment industry, Fayez believes that quality will always matter more than quantity.
“Today we may see more than forty television series during Ramadan with massive budgets, but very few stay in people’s memories,” he says. “In the past, there were only one or two productions each season, and audiences still remember them decades later.”
When asked about his personal ambitions, Fayez says he already feels grateful and fulfilled by his achievements in directing films, commercials, and media productions. However, his greatest dream goes far beyond cinema.
“My biggest wish is to see a world without poverty, especially in Egypt,” he says. “Every human being deserves a dignified life and proper medical care.”
“This is a responsibility toward our country,” Fayez explains. “Helping others is not optional. It is part of our duty as human beings.”
One verse that deeply inspires him comes from the Bible:
“Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me.”
Fayez says these words continue to guide his life and motivate him to support others whenever possible.
According to Fayez, true happiness does not come from fame or success, but from making a positive difference in people’s lives.
“When you see someone smile because you helped them, even in a simple way, that brings real peace and joy,” he says. “Kindness, compassion, and supporting others are among the most important things we can leave behind in this world.”
“No matter how difficult life becomes, I believe God always finds a way to turn challenges into something positive,” Fayez says. “That belief gives me strength and keeps me motivated to spread positivity and never lose faith.”
Speaking about cinema, Fayez names legendary director Alfred Hitchcock as his greatest inspiration.
“I studied most of Hitchcock’s work and deeply relate to his journey,” he explains. “He left his country before World War II and moved to the United States to pursue his dream. He eventually created more than fifty films that still influence cinema today.”
As for the artist he always dreamed of directing, Fayez says it was Michael Jackson.
“He was one of the singers closest to my heart,” Fayez recalls. “When I was young, I used to save my allowance just to buy his albums. His passing was very painful for me.”
Although he never had the opportunity to work directly with Jackson, Fayez later directed a project for one of Michael Jackson’s close music distributors.
“When I told him how much Michael Jackson inspired me, he shared many personal stories about him,” Fayez says. “It was an unforgettable experience that meant a great deal to me personally.”
