After high school, Gioscio joined the Marine Corps and worked as an aircraft mechanic, though her love of art never faded. Originally from California, she eventually made her way back to St. Pete and is now opening her first business on Central Avenue.
For paint-and-sip sessions, customers can choose from a wide variety of pre-stenciled canvas designs, including nature scenes, florals, animals, characters, and food-themed artwork.
Instructor-led classes will also be available for guests who want to paint on a blank canvas instead of using a template.
Sunshine City Paint plans to offer a variety of St. Pete-themed miniature 4-inch canvases that can double as souvenirs for tourists visiting the city.
“I wanted to focus on accessibility and affordability while still providing that art experience, so that’s where the smaller canvases come in because they take less time to complete,” Gioscio says.
