South Florida PBS recently hosted a special screening of Emmy Award-winning producer David McCourt’s documentary Amerigo: The Search for the American Dream at Miami Dade College’s West Campus in Doral.
Directed by Adam Mason, the compelling film features more than 1,000 interviews conducted across all 50 states, offering a thoughtful look at the evolving meaning of the American Dream as the nation approaches its 250th anniversary.
Following the screening, guests were invited to an engaging panel discussion featuring Madeline Pumariega, Christi Fraga, David Lawrence Jr., David McCourt, and Clint John Jr., with Olga Villaverde serving as moderator. A lively audience Q&A that followed.
