Photos: Special Operations Forces Week convenes in Tampa

On Wednesday in Tampa, U.S. Special Operations Forces from 10 partner nations worked together to execute a mock rescue mission from a fictional enemy force.

Onboard the Lost Pearl pirate ship the U.S. MARSOC Raiders, along with special operations operators from Japan, Poland and the Netherlands, staged a mock takeover and seizure of an enemy vessel eliminating simulated enemy forces.

The annual event is an opportunity to highlight the speed and precision of the world’s top special operations forces.
