TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Lincoln baseball concluded its 2026 season with the second state championship in team history, beating Winter Springs 5-4.
The Trojans scored all five runs in the third inning after they loaded the bases on walks. A mix of Lincoln singles and Bears errors allowed the Trojans to put up a crooked number.
Winter Springs battled back in the bottom of the inning with three runs of its own. The Bears pulled to within a one-run deficit in the fifth, but that’s as close as they could get.
Lincoln’s defense shone in the victory. On back to back plays, Chase Fuller cut down a runner at third on a tag, then the Trojans orchestrated a perfect relay started by right fielder Cody Garber to get the runner out at the plate.
Fuller was called on for a five-out save, one which he delivered.
