Jacksonville Sheriff’s officers said the busy roadway will be shut down for an undetermined amount of time as crews work to clear the crash.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Two people are dead and a third taken to the hospital after a crash on Roosevelt Boulevard just outside Naval Air Station Jacksonville Thursday afternoon.
Officials with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said the crash has all lanes of Roosevelt Boulevard shut down for an undetermined amount of time between the commercial gate of NAS Jacksonville and Timuquana Road.
FHP officials said two cars were involved in the crash, and two people in the cars were pronounced dead. A third person was taken to a nearby hospital.
Officials say to expect heavy delays in the area as they work to investigate and clear the crash scene. Avoid the area for now.
