An early morning argument at Jacksonville’s Anheuser-Busch facility led to one man being stabbed to death and another detained, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said.

It happened about 4:30 a.m. in the Northside brewery at 111 Busch Drive involving two contractors, according to the Sheriff’s Office said.

“What we know now is that two contractors at the facility were engaged in an argument that resulted in the victim being stabbed,” the Sheriff’s Office said. “Multiple witnesses have been detained, and they are cooperating with the investigation.

Among those detained was the suspect, but Sgt. M.W. Highfill said detectives are continuing to investigate and coordinate with the Medical Examiner’s Office and State Attorney’s Office to determine possible charges.

The other man in his mid-20s suffered a stab wound to his chest and was transported by rescue personnel to the hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased. No names have been released.
