Leu Gardens hosts a deliciously educational honey tasting class this weekend

Leu Gardens invites guests to enjoy the sweetness nature has to offer at a Honey Tasting class. Attendees can sample more than 20 different types of honey, ranging from cranberry honey made in Wisconsin to sugar gum honey from Kangaroo Island, Australia, to local varieties.

The event aims to teach about the history of honey-making, beekeeping and the various uses of different types of honey, hosted by environmental scientist, butterfly gardener and backyard beekeeper Christopher Stalder. The honey will be paired with madeleine tea cakes. As climate change ravages the honeybee population to record lows, it’s important to support awareness of how vital these pollinators are to our lives.
