May 21, 2026 – After significant damage caused by the twin hurricanes of 2024, Treasure Island’s Sunset Beach Pavilion will re-open June 4. The structure at 8000 W. Gulf Blvd. provides beach access, picnic and vending areas, showers and restrooms. It was rebuilt using money from FEMA and insurance providers. Re-landscaping by Keep Pinellas Beautiful and Treasure Island Adopt a Beach will commence June 20.
