Green Bench Brewing Company is opening a tasting room in downtown Tampa in early June, owner Khristopher Johnson confirmed by phone Thursday.
The Green Bench team is currently in the process of updating the former Pint and Brew space. A green bench sat out front of the space for a few weeks with a “coming soon” sign attached to it. An official Green Bench sign went up Thursday morning.
Johnson said the goal is to open using the bar space as is.

Tampa currently has access to Green Bench’s core brands like the Bench Life and Postcard Pils.
“We’re excited about sharing some more of our brands with the Tampa market,” Johnson said.
Green Bench opened in St. Petersburg’s Edge District almost 13 years ago with a brewery, tasting room and outdoor beer garden. The brewery is named for the green benches that dotted St. Pete’s Central Avenue in the early 20th century. Webb’s City Cellar opened next door to the beer garden in 2019 and has since garnered national acclaim.
