St. Pete has no shortage of creative energy, and you can see it on every block of the city. Small businesses growing, new brands launching, and stories unfolding every day. The force behind so many of those visuals? Peli Productions.
Founded by Tyler Downey and Ashlee Knotts, Peli is a local photo and video company creating cinematic, story-driven content for businesses and individuals who want to actually feel like themselves online. It’s where documentary edge meets intentional strategy. It’s beautiful imagery created to connect.

Recent shoots for Peli Productions
From gyms and cafés like Grassroots Kava House and St. Pete Strength Center to nonprofits like Boyd Hill Nature Preserve, Peli helps brands tell stories that hit home in a city rooted in personality and community. They’ve even been a part of our story here at I Love the Burg, helping to showcase our small team and giving us the creative assets to put our best foot forward.
Tyler leads Peli’s commercial photography and video production work, bringing nearly a decade of professional experience behind the lens. His work has taken him across the country and internationally, shaping a style rooted in storytelling, adaptability, and capturing real moments in real environments. That global perspective now fuels the campaigns and brand visuals he produces right here in St. Pete.
Ashlee serves as Creative Director, bringing a long-standing background in sales, brand strategy, and business development. With a sharp eye on both aesthetics and ROI, she ensures every project is not only visually compelling but aligned with the client’s growth goals. Her approach bridges creativity and strategy, helping brands feel authentic while also performing in the real world.
But it’s not just about businesses.
Ashlee has expanded Peli’s portrait and boudoir sessions into intentional, empowering experiences for entrepreneurs building personal brands, women celebrating milestones, or anyone ready to see themselves differently.
“In a fast-paced world of FaceTune and AI, I care about creating a space where people feel safe enough to show something real,” Ash says. “Vulnerable. Honest. Images that still look incredible but in a way that feels timeless, not filtered.”
As St. Pete continues to grow, Peli is proud to help shape how its stories are told, one frame at a time.
