Jocelyn Erickson wasted no time in showing the rowdy reptiles at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium that Game 2 of the Gainesville Super Regional wasn’t going to be like Game 1.
On the first pitch of the second at-bat of the game, Erickson took NiJaree Canady’s pitch over the left-center wall. Before most fans had turned on ABC for a delayed start time, the Gators held a 2-0 lead.

It was just the beginning of an offensive barrage for the orange and blue.
Florida softball defeated Texas Tech 10-2 Saturday afternoon at KSP to even the Super Regional at 1-all and set up a winner-take-all Game 3 for the third season in a row.
The Gators led 3-1 in the bottom of the third, but Keagan Rothrock got Kaitlyn Terry to fly out with runners on first and second.

Madison Walker hit her second home run of the weekend in the top of the fourth, but once again the Red Raiders threatened.
The bases were loaded with two outs for power hitter Jasmyn Burns. She hit a ball to right that, with a little more wind, could have been out of KSP. Instead, Ella Wesolowski – starting out of position in right – caught it at the wall.

From then, the Gators put the game out of reach in the fifth. Florida scored four runs thanks to a two-RBI single from Kenleigh Cahalan, a one-bagger from Walker and a double from Ella Wesolowski.
One more run came in the seventh because of a surprise steal from Cahalan, a tag up on a flyout and an infield single from Gabi Comia.
First pitch for Game 3 Sunday is TBD.
