WASHINGTON COUNTY, Fla. (WTVY) – Four people are dead, including a Dothan resident, after a head-on crash Thursday night in Washington County, Florida.
The crash happened at around 9:27 p.m. along Florida Highway 77 near the intersection with Carter Circle, around 20 miles south of Chipley.
According to information released by Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), a car out of the Panama City area was travelling south when it entered the inside northbound lane on FL-77, where it would collide with a truck driven by the individual from Dothan.
All three people in the Panama City car, along with the Dothan resident who was the lone occupant of the other vehicle, were pronounced dead on the scene.

Northbound lanes along Highway 77 were shut down as crews worked to assess and clean up the crash site. The roadway was reopened fully shortly after midnight.
Florida Highway Patrol told our Panama City sister station WJHG that, due to the fiery nature of the crash, they were unable to identify more about the four people killed in the crash such as their age and gender.
FHP generally does not publicly release names of those involved in traffic accidents.
