TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -There are dozens of dogs awaiting adoption right now who would love nothing better than to celebrate a “homecoming” weekend of their own! It would be full of tail-wagging, not tail-gating!
Furry Friday dogs Keke, Melon, Dottie and Zowie were among the 43 pets adopted at last weekend’s “Pick a Pup-kin” event. Zowie had been waiting nearly six months for the perfect family.
Furry Friday is a collaboration between WCTV and the Tallahassee Animal Service Center designed to get dogs out of their kennels and into the spotlight in hopes of helping them find their fur-ever families, faster!
Here are the Furry dogs we’re featuring this week:
MEET BUDDYBuddy has a ridiculously cute face and a very wagg-edy tail!(WCTV)
Meet Buddy!
This still wiggly pup is into running and playing and looking for a fun family to grow up with!
Buddy is still working on his manners – but is a quick learner with a ridiculously cute face and a very wagg-edy tail!
If Buddy is the perfect pup for your active, affectionate family, please visit him at the shelter this weekend!
MEET WHISPERWhisper’s brother was adopted last weekend, she’s hoping now it’s her turn!(WCTV)
Meet Whisper!
This caramel cutie is a natural beauty.
Whisper likes calm, cool people and really digs the sights, sounds and smells of the great outdoors.
Long walks, bird watching, squirrel chasing – she’s up for all of it!
But Whisper definitely has a soft side. She likes being snuggled and carried.
Whisper’s brother was adopted last weekend, she’s hoping now it’s her turn!
Please visit Whisper at the shelter this weekend!
MEET PICKLES Sweet Pickles likes leaning in for back scratches and smooches.(WCTV)
Meet Pickles!
He’s a sweet pickle, not a spicy or sour one!
Pickles has eyes that match his gray spots and likes “leaning in” for back scratches and smooches.
Pickles likes chasing squirrels and feeling the crunch of leaves under his feet.
He is learning to play, loves treats and is looking for a family that excels in patience and pampering!
This boy is mild mannered with lots of love to give.
You can meet him at the shelter this weekend!
MEET WILEY Wiley is a dog’s dog. He loves toys and treats … he’s dreaming of a big backyard and another pup to play with!(WCTV)
Meet Wiley!
This charmer is into hugs and high fives!
During our photo shoot, he did more hugging and high five-ing than he did walking!
Wiley is a dog’s dog.
He loves toys and treats and is dreaming of a big backyard and another pup to play with.
How Wiley wound up on the street no one knows, but he is more than ready for a soft landing and a family of his own! You better go ahead and make room on the couch!
Please visit Wiley at the shelter this weekend!
