Man accused of shooting into victim’s car in Apopka road rage, police say

A man booked Tuesday into the Orange County Jail is accused of shooting into someone’s car during a road rage incident in Apopka, according to police. Zackariah Thomas, 30, faces charges of trafficking in phenethylamines over 10 grams, possession of more than 20 grams of cannabis (with weapon), shooting into a vehicle, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, criminal mischief, and fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, records show. “What started as a routine drive home quickly escalated into a dangerous road rage incident when a bullet was fired through the window of the victim’s vehicle as she was driving,” the Apopka Police Department said on social media. “(…) During a search of (Thomas’) residence, multiple firearms, a drum magazine, several hundred rounds of ammunition, and approximately 160 grams of cannabis were recovered.” Thomas is being held at the Orange County Jail on no bond at the time of this writing. A man booked Tuesday into the Orange County Jail is accused of shooting into someone’s car during a road rage incident in Apopka, according to police.

Zackariah Thomas, 30, faces charges of trafficking in phenethylamines over 10 grams, possession of more than 20 grams of cannabis (with weapon), shooting into a vehicle, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, criminal mischief, and fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, records show.

“What started as a routine drive home quickly escalated into a dangerous road rage incident when a bullet was fired through the window of the victim’s vehicle as she was driving,” the Apopka Police Department said on social media. “(…) During a search of (Thomas’) residence, multiple firearms, a drum magazine, several hundred rounds of ammunition, and approximately 160 grams of cannabis were recovered.”

Thomas is being held at the Orange County Jail on no bond at the time of this writing.
