Five people were displaced after a fire spread to a Fort Lauderdale home Sunday evening, authorities said.
Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue responded to a vehicle fire under a carport in the 3000 block of Southwest 2nd Street.
When crews arrived, the flames had spread to the occupied home, according to fire officials.

Three adults and two children safely evacuated the house, Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue said.
Firefighters also rescued a dog, two rabbits and a bearded dragon from the home.
Because of the extent of the damage, all occupants were displaced and are being assisted by the American Red Cross.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
