TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – You guessed it, warm and muggy again to start the day. With many folks off or traveling for the holiday, the weather will cooperate in many spots, while others NOT so much.
Your Memorial Day will be warm and muggy with highs in the upper 80s.(WCTV)
Boaters will once again enjoy mostly good conditions with waves of one to three feet in the sea. Protected waters and bays have a light chop from a nice southeast/onshore breeze of 10 to 15 knots. However, if you are getting into the water, the risk of rip currents will be high. Rip currents can pull you out to shore. Be on the lookout for red flags at the beaches. Those hoping to fish tomorrow morning, conditions are worth monitoring.
The forecast is looking okay for beach-goers and boaters. It will be hot with a high rip current risk. Storms should stay away from the coast.(WCTV)
If you have a barbecue or pool party planned today, there will be plenty of opportunities to get outside and enjoy the summer-like heat through at least midday.

Anytime after 10:30 a.m., showers will develop along the sea breeze north of Highway 98. Most of the coast will remain dry much of the day.

North of Florida Highway 20, a chance of storms before lunchtime, becoming more widespread in south Georgia early afternoon.
Travel along Highway 84 and I-75 will be tough at times today. Give yourself some extra time if you plan to head to family or friends this afternoon.

Most of the area is dry by dinner time, with a few lingering storms near the Suwannee River and Apalachicola River. And more storms are possible this evening and overnight, just not as widespread.
The weather pattern of sea breeze storms will continue into the middle of the week before a slight shift brings lower rain chances while temperatures stay near 90.
Another surge of moisture returns next weekend. It looks like a pretty unsettled weekend ahead. Clouds and rain should keep temperatures a little cooler in the upper 80s.
