Jacksonville woman held without bond after knife assault leaves victim seriously hurt

JACKSONVILLE, Onslow County — A Jacksonville woman is behind bars after police say she assaulted another woman with a knife over the weekend.

Brenda Kay Duncan, 67, was arrested Sunday, May 24, by the Jacksonville Police Department.

Duncan is charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.

According to arrest warrants, Duncan allegedly assaulted a female victim with a knife, causing serious injuries.

After her arrest, Duncan was taken to the Onslow County Jail, where she is being held without bond.

She is scheduled to make her first court appearance Tuesday, May 26.
