APOPKA, Fla – What started as a routine drive home quickly turned dangerous when a bullet was fired through the window of a victim’s vehicle as she drove, according to Apopka police.
Officers later located the vehicle while detectives worked to identify the person responsible.
Investigators ultimately identified the suspect as Zachariah Thomas, police said.
During a search of Thomas’ residence, detectives recovered multiple firearms, a drum magazine, several hundred rounds of ammunition and about 160 grams of cannabis, police said.

Thomas was arrested and charged with:
Shooting into a vehicle
Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon
Possession of cannabis over 20 grams with a firearm
Property damage, police said
